Many NewsChannel 9 viewers were touched by the story of 11-year-old Brenden Foster, who died this weekend of leukemia. But before he passed away, he made a final wish, and thousands are helping it come true.

Brenden was from Lynwood, Washington. During the final days of his battle with leukemia, Brenden made a wish: help the homeless. People across the country took place in food drives in Brenden’s honor.
Thanks, Ma. I was so heart broken to read it. I had tried to follow the story, but you know, with a 4 year old in toe, and things needing to be done, it was hard to do. I will be praying for his family through this difficult time, and so close to the holidays, too. So sad
You may reject this, I just find it hard to accept that children should pass on due to such terrible illnesses, and he wasn’t even a teenager, yet.

Invisible Boy, I agree, the homeless need as much if not more attention.

I hope that we don’t get any hate messages on here, although, I know it’s a hope that can be short lived.

I just pray his family can get through this.

Because there is a time and a purpose to everything under heaven…our longevity is decided probably before we are born. Many don’t get past the humidicrib in the intensive care unit. Some again are stillborn. The presence of life is as important (or even more important) as the absence.
It is what is learnt during that life that really counts. This little boy learnt that he could make a difference to others with his life by inspiring others to do good. His death was not empty. Another person may to 70, 80 and never get close to inspiring others. In these cases who had the more substantial life?

I think there might be some vote fraud going on in NY-23. This certainly looks suspicious:

Another thing that is odd is that Hoffmann was even ahead in the polls:

And just 4 hours before they found it. I was walking in the area and it smelled of manure.
as a matter of fact. the people in the store were joking about the smell.
the place in the artical is directly behind the store i was going to.
I know its probably a dumb question and that its most likely what i was smelling. BUT
the river where i live has a history of smelling bad. because of sewage back up.
im just hoping someone could set my mind at ease and tell me it was sewage backup. and not the dead man floating in the river behind the store

Also I had no idea where to post a question like this so bare with me.
Well the man had been floating there for about a week they say
uh because i noticed it smelled bad when i walked to the store. it was potent. then they find a body less then a block from my house. of course im going to think about it. DUH

Trust me you will know… It is a smell unlike any other.

I’m not against gays in any way but I found this disgraceful. Why on earth would she have to say that after the books are all finished. What on earth has that got to do with anything? She doesn’t finish the book telling us all about what happens to all the other characters but has to bring this up now. Very stupid as far as I’m concerned. It says a lot about our society today when something like that has to be brought up in a fantasy book . Why would anyone care if he’s gay or not in the first place? I never even considered it. Maybe she just needs more publicity now that the books are finished. I don’t know. I just think it’s absolutlely ridiculous and she just fell way down on my list of good authors. Can’t wait to hear what happened to all the other characters in the series. I heard she’s writing an encyclopedia for charity regading that. Hagrad will probably be revealed as a child molester or something and Professor McGonagle a lesbian.

I felt that it was a great book for kids. However, as the books progressed they outgrew the younger set. I felt it was up to the parents to decide whether their kids should continue reading them. If she would have sad he was gay in the beginnning and opened up that can of worms, I probably would say no to the kids reading it. More so than the magic portion of it. Let them keep their innocence as long as they can. They can decide for themselves when they are older what they feel about gay rights, etc. Don’t bring it into a fantasy book.

I wonder when all the fairy tales we grew up with as a kid will be picked apart by someone ruining our memories of them by casting aspersions on the chararcters.

Uh hi i would like to know where i could find the video online of the newschannel that announced bristol palins son’s name and the reporter person said it like what the heck? kind of tone…everybody’s talking about it…i just want to see it and laugh….

PS…My 9 yr old cousin has a DOG named Tripp…Pshh and we thought it was a made up name.. (Apparently so did Bristol and others…) lol i saw on a website that someone posted "another retarded name for the palins…" lol!!! LMAO!!! ROTFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
